Gigabit ethernet problems

I am running a 75ft length of Cat5e (purchased last week) from a 5port Gigabit switch that connects to my router. However, the connection on the switch lists it as 10Mb. The orange light is on. The switch is currently connected to 2 clients, both running at 1000Mb without issue.

The strange part is the green light is lit on the router...

Help?

The connection to the router is listed at 10mb? That makes sense, as the router likely isn't capable of running gigabit. And it isn't likely that you need that kind of bandwidth from the router either. I have the same over here: Machines connected to the gigabit switch are running gigabit, but connection to the router is running 10/100.

Measuring the actual transfer might be more important than the color of the lights. 😉.
