Gigabit 3G Router?

Greetings all.

I'm was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a gigabit 3G router. Currently I am using the Option Globesurfer III (link) . Basically I'm looking for something very similar but also supports gigabit routing. Thanks in advance for any input

Use your current router and attach a gigabit switch.

So the router won't act was a bottleneck?

Lets say I hook two gigabit switches up to the router, one to each port, would all devices on the network communicate at 1000Mbit (minus overhead)? Even the devices on different switches?

If you have two separate switches both connected to the 3g router, then communication between the two switches will be limited to whatever speed the LAN ports are on the router.

If you use one gigabit switch and attach all devices to that switch, then LAN communication will be at gigabit speeds and only connections to the internet will actually go through the router.

If you need multiple switches for the extra ports, then connect the second (and third, etc) switches to ports on the main gigabit switch and devices attached to any of the switches will still communicate at gigabit speeds.

That or get a switch big enough to handle all of your devices, if that is feasible for your deployment. Otherwise, yes, just connect all of the switches back to one switch and then to the router from the final switch.
