I'm between GA-P35-DS3P and asus p5k-e right now for my new computer. I cant decided...
giga: strong reviews, dual bios, good layout, easy to cool, more ports, 2 pciex16
asus: cheaper, easy to cool also, added wi-fi, 2-pciex16

I have never used either brand so I have no bias... wont be overclocking yet, just want a stable board. Any comments?

Personally, I thought it was an important feature so I got the DS3P even though I don't think I'll need Firewire. I've updated the BIOS twice now in under a month, and there will probably be several more updates.

It may not be needed for most users, but I read a post on another board where someone had a bad flash with the DS3R so I was persuaded into being sure I had it. Someone there said statistically 1 in 100 flashes will fail. If you're the type to not flash the BIOS unless it's necessary it may not be worth it.
