Giga-Byte Avia Osmium

I bought this device the day before yesterday. This is my first mechanical keyboard and I like it quite a lot. The build quality is great. Pressing buttons on this keyboard feels much much nicer than on all other membrane type keyboards I used to have before. It's like when you press those buttons it's feels more pronounced, so to speak 🙂
The only thing that I personaly "don't like" about this keyboard, and I guess it's just a highly subjective thing, is inability to turn off the lighting for the Aivia logo located in the upper right hand corner. The only options it lets you choose are "enable breathing" and "disable breathing".
Other than that it's a great keyboard, and I guess OP will have no reason not to buy it 😀

Btw, Pwndenburg, you will have to d/l Aivia Ghost software off the internet. Also, you can map those 5 macro keys to serve as media keys.

Yea, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this thing. I've looked at a great deal of keyboards and while some may have had more bells and whistles that I would personally never use; this thing has a solid armrest and I actually like the glowing logo and how it changes to green etc.

Very happy with my purchase. Gotta make sure to leave a review on the egg. I don't see how anyone but tho most savvy and feature dependent user could not enjoy typing/gaming on this thing.

I tried it at one of their event. I am quite satisified its quality and red switch with its 45g of actuation force. 5 Marco keys are enough for me actually. I also am looking at any great deal on newegg.

Noticed my thread near the top again so I thought that was good enough reason to give an update on my experience. Granted I've only owned the thing for approximately 3 weeks now but, I'm still very, very pleased. I've owned every fancy Dome and one with black switches and I feel this is far superior.

should've gone with a ducky, filco, or das keyboard. much better quality; could also have gotten a wristpad rest from wasdkeyboards.com

Yea,

Thing about that is that I came from a FILCO. Granted, it was black switches rather than red. This change in switches could be the primary reason. Also, that one didn't have back lighting.
