That picture is like way, WAY over the top dripping sappy. But if that's what she likes.
Women like jewelry. So I say get something like a ring or a bracelet or a necklace or something engraved with something simple. Something naughty... I was under the impression that women don't actually like to get lingerie all that much. So get her whatever YOU want to see her in. =)

Put me down for a vote for the K-Bar. Or an Aston Martin.

WTF is a k-bar?

and my girl's not into jewelry, oddly enough.

I like the poem/picture, because 1. i took the photograph and manipulated it myself, and 2. i wrote the poem long ago for "the one"...

anyone else?

Before you get it framed, "The shadows disappearing" needs an apostrophe. Shadow's (shadow is).

As for a gift... I have always liked sentimental gifts, because most people will just buy the crap they want, but things that mean something special to them, they cannot buy.

You need soap and a sponge for your diswasher to work. Might as well get her that!

=)

In that case, you need a "shadows are disappearing" or "the shadows disappeared"

That's very sweet. Good work. You know her better than any of us, so go with your gut.

EDIT: oh, and congrats!

My wife is not huge into jewlery either but I got her a nice set of pearl earrings for a wedding gift. We exchanged gifts after the rehersal dinner so we could wear them during the wedding (she got me a Tissot PR 200 watch). She loves the earrings to this day and brings them out for special occasions.

As for lingere women are always (at least in my experience) a fan of lingere they can look sexy in but still wear comfortably under their normal clothes. A nice teddy or a leather outfit is all good for those "special" nights but a sexy, lacy sheer bra, matching panties, and possibly a garter belt and thigh high stockings are a great set. My wife likes to wear hers under her normal clothes so she can suprise me in the evening when we get ready for bed. The best part is when she teaches with that stuff on underneath. If only the college freshman she teaches knew what she was wearing... ;)

w3rd!

We aren't raggin on you, we just don't want people to miss the point of the poem because they are caught up on the grammar. Sorry.

Getting married on Nov. 11th? That is my wife and I'll wedding anniversary (4 years coming up).

I am complete crap when it comes to gifts but just wanted to say good luck! It is a lot of work but very rewarding. If you don't have kids work on a few of those too, they are more fun that you would think.

But if I HAD to take a stab at a gift idea, here is what I have learned...
women love the gifts most that they think you don't know they would like (got that?)
So if you can find something that she may want but has never told you about (finding this will require a bit of snooping) she will think your the best (i.e. caring, insightful, observant, etc).
They also love anything you can give her in front of friend(s) or something she can show them later. Women love that one-up stuff between each other.
And for the naughty clothes... go with something tasteful (no edible undies or anything crotchless). Spike hit it on the head. Just buy from somewhere like Victorias Secret and not the local Pron Shop.

Enjoy yourself man!

I love the poem and picture. It figures that on ATOT you get a bunch of nerds ragging you about grammar! Ignore them. I like the way it scans. And it's a beautiful sentiment.

Something naughty: absolutely, go upscale. Classy all the way. Sexy and classy.

Congrats.

actually, the way he has it (the shadows disappearing) is perfectly fine.
