I am an intern, my boss is leaving to have surgey and I won't see him till after xmas. thinking of getting something shipped to him as a gift when he is in the hospital. He is a great boss, real nice guy.

depends on what his surgery is and what he's into, but i'd appreciate a fruit basket and a good book. it's kinda hard to pick a gift for someone you don't know or for how long they'll be in...
