Gift ideas for guitarist requested

I have no idea what to get this kid. He's in a band and plays guitar. He's turning 16. And my idea of a case of oil was shot down by the wife. I'm thinking, photobook of some sort. Maybe a gift card for Borders so he can buy some CDs or buy a book of his choice or whatever.

Anyways, any ideas?

A picture book of guitars would be cool if anyone can request a particular book.

Budget is about $100. I'm shooting for the $60-$120 range for the gift.

maybe a book on the history of the guitar?

A music theory book or instructional book would be good. Could also get a case of strings, polishing clothes, or a blues slide.

Those are two of the larger online music product retailers. I've ordered hundreds of dollars from both places with no problems. If he's a serious guitarist, then he probably already gets one or both of their catalogs each month. Good luck!
