My girlfriend just graduated (undergrad) and will be starting grad school next year. Anyone got any good gift ideas that are say in the $50-$100 region. We have only been dating a couple of months.

A ticket that says
"Go get your graduate degree, you bum"

After she gets that, then worry about a gift :)

In case my first brilliant idea isn't good enough...

Get her some roses, but here's the trick...Say you've been dating 4 months, buy her 4 roses. 5, 5 roses, etc... And a note that says something sweet. If you've only dated like 2 months, forget the idea :p

Here's a good idea...Get her 6 or 12 roses, tell her you'll love her till the last rose dies. Make one of the roses a plastic rose.

is she a practical or a frivolous girl?

practical, from the sound of your last post.. or at least too new a relationship for something terribly mushy..

a nice coffee maker, a grinder, a pair of nice mugs and a pound of good coffee (beans).

a crock pot, a crock pot cookbook, and the staple ingredients for the recipe that looks tastiest to you.

go to target and get her bathroom stuff.. towels, a rug, a shower curtain and the sink things.. soap dish or dispenser, toothbrush holder all to match

a lamp or two

Can someone explain what this means to me?

You posted the same thing in my other thread.
:\

it's a sex thing that apparantly is much more appealing to the average guy (or at least the average teenage geek guy) than it is to the average gal.

I vote neither one of you take this advice.

she is very smart, and very pratical, and isn't the type that wants/demands much. Extremely sweet and very giving.

does anyone have any ideas of non material gifts.. ie picnic in park/massage type ideas?
