I need a good gift for a friend of mine, was out of town on her birthday and didn't get her anything for christmas, so i'm taking her out to dinner and want to have a decent gift. She's a mature classy but not high maintenence type girl. (has a bf so nothing like 'romance'), sentimental stuff would be okay, looking to spend like $50-75 or so. Something that says thanks for being there for me, etc.

Someone mentioned perfume but i don't have the slightest.. any suggestions would be helpful 🙂
 
Maybe get her a gift certificate/gift card based on something she likes - spa (for when she wants to be pampered), department store (where she could pick up perfume if she wanted), favorite restraunt, book store (if she loves reading), cooking supply store (for someone who loves to cook), computer parts place (for a geeky girl), movie theater/store (for a movie buff), music store (for a music lover), tickets to a production/concert/show? If you want to actually get her something (some people think that gift cards are less thoughtful than actual gifts, but I don't necessarily agree), we'd need to know more about her interests/likes to recommend something specific. Perhaps you could make her something (depending on your abilities and her likes)?
 
does she have any siblings? do you know any of her friends? ask them... we know nothing about her 😛

i wouldnt go for the geneirc stuff animal unless its something unique.. every girl has tons of freaking bears and other random disney stuff animals in their bedroom.
 
hmm.. thanks for replies so far. see, she's kind of one of those long relationship doesnt do much anymore, she works and goes to school and sometimes goes out to eat or to a movie, no real hobbies that i know of.. makes it a little difficult.

last thing i got her was a nice belly ring and she liked that. i think no on the stuffed animals (girls have too many of that for it to be good).. i don't think she likes any particular disney thing and whatnot. usually i can find something a girl likes and buy in relation to that.. but not this time =\

any generic sentimental stuff would work if i could think of something. even if its just something that sits there and says 'we're friends'. gift certificates are always a last resort for me..

edit; no siblings/family taht i know or speak to.. she lives with the bf (and he's also a friend)
