Gifs no longer work

so this is odd, gifs for some reason for me no longer play in Opera. running 12.17,

just randomly stopped working the other day. they seem to play fine in Pale Moon

im talking ones inbeded in posts and so on

also noticed they stopped working at work, which uses IE10

ive done nothing in terms of install on my comp in recent weeks, and its clean and up to date

any ideas?

F12, make sure Enable Animated Images is checked. Clear cache if that's not it.

Stab in the dark, but glad it was something simple. Speaking of simple, I'm gonna miss the real Opera.... 🙁

Not a clue. Try Delete Browsing History and see if that helps. Also, if possible, try another browser to ensure it's just IE that has the problem.

I had this problem in Firefox and I had to go to about:config and set he Boolean to true. It could have been image.animation_mode.

In IE it would have to be a in the Internet options. Not sure if there is a config like Pale Moon/Firefox. Try Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Multimedia, Play animations. Or Advanced, multimedia, play animations in webpages.
