GIF vs BMP File Copy

Using WinXP, IE 6, when I right click on the cockroach gif on the bottom of this page BMP Problem and do a Save Picture As, my system sees it as 'Untitled.bmp'. But it's actually a gif file named 88logo. This problem only exists on animated gif files.

What setting do I need to change to fix this? Or what?

And then use mozilla instead of IE. Mozilla developers actually fix bugs :Q

Clean out your Temporary Internet files - that will usually solve the problem.
