I've had this board for 2 weeks now and it still isn't running right. But I'm not alone in this. I thought I'd post this to forwarn everyone. All the nf2 mobo's are having new board problems. I'm sure they will be worked out given enough time, but it probably wouldn't take as long if the companies would jump in and help. When this board runs, it runs great. When it doesn't, it doesn't. I'm hoping that a new bios will change this board into the great one it has the potential to be. Here is a list of common problems: onboard lan, ide support, cdrw probs, temp sensing, sata raid, memory compatibility, dual channel support, sound issues with high end cards. I've been on the NFheadquarters site for 7 nights straight trying to get this right and still a no go. I hate to be the bearer, but everyone is raving about these boards and I'm sure a lot of people are running out to buy them thinking this is going to be great and are going to bvery frustrated if they don't know the truth. I e-mailed Giga 4 days ago and still haven't gotten a response. This is common too. Take what you can use, and leave the rest.
 
Dude, we understand your frustation, but there are many amigos out there who are happy with their Giga boards, and complaining the way you did, in my opinion, is not helpful for anyone, not even yourself.

Get some ASUS or ABIT... RMA those, get your money back, and be a happy person.
 
Sorry, I just didn't want newbies to get this thinking it would be a walk in the park. The board has a lot of potential.
 
After having a day to cool off and think about it, you are right Aenstead and I was wrong. The complaining is just a bunch of whining and I didn't even get any cheese to go with it. I guess the frustration just built up and all came out at once. My apologise to every one.

Bad for readers, but mostly bad for you. Some people have awefull luck to simply get a high-failure-rate bach of motherboards... maybe it was your turn.

Calming down and checking all possible problems, no matter how small or stupid they might appear... is really all you need.

For example, I once was so darn frustrated with a computer I built that couldnt post... no matter what I did or checked, until I calmed down and checked that the PSU was @ 225V, instead of 115V. Changing it made everything go smooth, and I was lucky not to burn anything.

I would like to again state, I have never come across a motherboard/system that couldnt be set up unless the board was defective to begin with.

My philosophy is that there is allways an answer, question becomes how much time are you willing to invest to find it?
