True. But the Giants have so many glaring shortcomings it'll be hard to second guess them. They need a QB, offensive linemen, a running back, WR's, and their overrated D ain't all that, either. They were 4 and 12 for a reason.

RB is a need? Surely they can swap a 4th round pick with someone for a pair of hands to give Tiki, right? ;)

I'd agree that they're a mess, but I wonder if Coughlin can fire stuff up and get things going. I don't like the guy, but he's a mean SOB, especially compared to Fassel. Plus, if they improve the offensive line, Collins doesn't get hit or hurried as much and half your turnovers go away.

Strangone, I hear the desperation of a true, blue Giants fan. I feel your pain, brotha, but I don't see any trophies for us in the near future. I think this team is far, far from being competitive.

The funny part is, I'm a Seahawks fan. I just really think that a lot of their problems flow from the holes up front, but maybe I haven't seen them play enough lately (and am still thinking of how good they were defensively a few years ago). But I'd hate to be the guy to pass over the next Tony Boselli and end up with a Ryan Leaf.

Edit: Which isn't to suggest that I think Eli Manning will bust.

They are reporting Eli told his agent he will not play for the Chargers and the agent told this to the Chargers.

The Chargers in return are saying we respect Eli's wants but we have to do what is best for our franchise.
Also the same report states Eli wants to play in N.Y.

Heard this on the Radio.

If the Chargers take Manning, it won't be because that is what Marty wanted.

He is hanging on by a string in SD. The last thing he wants to try and do is win with a rookie quarterback. He needs to win now, not groom a QB for the future.

What about Rivers? His stock has risen lately, but have the Giants settled on Roethlisberger?
Who knows who the Giants have settled on, if anyone. The knock on Rivers is his arm strength. But, if that's it, he may be the man. Heck, Montana had nothing up his sleeve as far as arm strength. But, he was in the perfect system for his talents and, well, the rest is history.

Riiight..arm strength.

grrrrrr.....it was only a false alarm, damn scared me.
So says the Chargers fan....

I still remember when the Chargers traded away their chance to get Vick at #1. :brokenheart:

Yeah, they only got LT instead... already a premiere young back in the league. And he's doing this all behind a cr@ppy offensive line, and being the only real offensive threat on the entire team...

Vick on the other hand has shown a flash of greatness one season before seriously injuring himself. People really need to stop bending over for him. He still needs to prove himself in in making smarter decisions and better acurracy.

At this point in time I'd definitely take LT over Vick. Not to mention the extra draft picks the Chargers got.

He was rolling out in the end zone and got sacked. What would you want him to do? Take a safety?

Redskins better take Taylor. That's all I have to say :p
