I think eventually they'll be pushing for making the NFL network a cable channel that will be part of most basic cable options and will cover ALL NFL games.

Well they'll get a lot more money advertising wise and they won't have to pay any other network to cover their games. It'll be full profit, I'm guessing that's their final gaol but you never know.
