Giants Citizen Kabuto performance tips?

Just picked up this great looking game for my brother, problem is, noticeable jerkiness at 800x600x32bit on my rig. See link below for specs, but the important details are: GF1 DDR, P3-840, 512MB RAM, Win2K. Detonators in use are the 10.80.

Anyone have any performance optimization tips? i.e. best Det's to use, etc. Also if anyone knows how to run benchmarks in the game (or if it has any) that'd be helpful also.
