They look more like swimming feather stars, i.e. stalkless (comatulid) crinoids to me, particularly the way the arms move.

They are about 12" across...that is pretty big for a spider.

yeah when I saw that vid I was like huh that's not 'giant'. Need to see it next to something lie a can of coke or something like that to tell. Kind of spooky though, isn't it pitch black down there, would be freaky to have one of those just start attacking you out of nowhere
