by installing this beast on my 9700 pro tonight i was able to get 21MHz more from the core and so far 15Mhz more from my ram (15x2). installing it was the biggest pain in the a$$ but it paid off.

i had to cut some of my zalman southbridge heat sink just to fit my card in the slot.

Note...i didn't use the supplied baby fan that came with the giant II, i used a 80mm fan and mounted it right underneath the giant II heatsink.

3dmark03 is now up to 5534 and 2001se is up to 18,274!!

i recommend this to everyone

no it's a thermaltake heatsink... kindof a rippoff of the zalman heatpipe cooler but has a small fan on it

what is everyones problem...your all sour.

i would hardly call an extra 38MHz core and 68MHz memory (34x2) a ripoff. i think this heatpipe is great....i don't know how good the zalman is but i doubt is any better. like i said the little cheapo fan that comes with the heatpipe is a waste...but thats why i put a 80mm fan under the heatsink.

on a more serious note...looping 3dmark2001se 50 times should determine if my video card overclock is stable...right?

when it loaded the first test it said i had about 5 hrs...thats plenty of time right

and on a lighter note...i'm guessing you guys don't care for thermaltake too much??

Tis true. Thermaltake goes for the glitzly looks over the actual cooling performance.
