I personally would've liked to have had a PS3 but with 2 yound daughters I "had" to have the Wii.

So trying to make do, which of the above will be better on the Wii?

Thanks
Gene

I kind of like the song list on GHWT better if nothing more than for the Nuge. But what about DLC (if any for the Wii) and other stuff?

EA said that RB2 was going to be "fully featured" for the Wii. What exactly that means, I'm not sure, so OP, you might want to take a look into it.

maybe you'll get lucky and the instruments will be compatible between the two. Right now there is a ? for them but i'd wait and see at launch. http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/

If I had to pick based on setlist thats a hard decision but GH:WT has more songs and has a few more songs I like over RB2, plus I really can't wait to get my hands on the new GH guitar so i'd have to choose World Tour over RB2.

I'd pick up GHWT simply for the new slide function on the guitar. That should make those guitar solos much more enjoyable. Also in my opinion the songs that come with GHWT standard are better than RB2, but that is just my opinion.

The last Game Informer I read said no character creator, no world tour, and no DLC for RB2 Wii.

How does that work (the slide)?

I'm wondering how its going to work as well, if you look at the E3 video on the site it shows the guy using it but we won't really know until we have the guitar in hand.

From what i've read the notes that are linked can be played by sliding your hand up/down the new touch sensitive part of the guitar neck.

"Guitar tracks will feature notes connected by a semi-transparent purple line, called "Slider Gems"; the player can play these notes by sliding their fingers up and down the touch pad or by tapping the fret buttons without strumming" -Wikipedia

If I had to choose I'd probably say GH:WT too. The only reservation I have to that is that GH:WT is kind of an unknown entity right now. We know the set list, and we have pictures of the instruments... but with Rock Band 2, we pretty much knew exactly what we were getting because we had Rock Band 1 to look at first. This is Neversoft's first shot at doing the full band thing, so it's hard to say what we're going to get. I'm sure it'll be good, but it makes recommending it a bit harder.

I sure hope it'll be good, I love both Guitar Hero and Rock Band and I want to see both games continue successfully. It's going to have to be good to keep up with Rock Band 2.
