Wonder if he’ll make it. So soon after his wife’s passing. Reports are saying he’s responding to treatment.
Me too and people who have been married for most of their adult lives and were well bonded have a tendency to die close together. He’s in intensive care. Just came to post this. He won’t fight. There’s nothing left to hold on for.
My parents passed within a week of each other, my mom died unexpectedly, my dad followed shortly after, his passing was not a surprise. 63 years of marriage. It's common for spouses to die close together. He may not, but his move is gone and there's not the same reason to remain.
Yeah, this isn’t surprising in the least. While I was never a fan, he was still somewhat better than 43...and MUCH better han the current office-holder.

No shit, another war criminal slides into the grave with no justice served. This sucks.

I'd say it was rough, but that's a criminally weak description of it. But it was, and pretty much every other negative emotion you can muster up, but this time, you get to share them with siblings. My oldest brother started to criticize my mourning. THAT was an interesting 'discussion' about how long I should be mourning and how I should be doing it. Closest I've come to punching my brother in the face, and hard.Damn Sheik. I'm sorry. That must have been a kick to the gut I don't even want to think about. Losing my dad was a lot harder than I anticipated. I can't imagine losing both in such a short time.
One more reason I look up to Al Yankovic. Only child, very tight with his folks. Loses them both to carbon monoxide poisoning, finds out hours before having to do a show. Does the show. I'm still in awe. I wish I could be that resilient when it comes to family (I'm not).
The invasion of Panama. What war crimes are you talking about?
The invasion of Panama.
Wasn't that approved by Congress?
More CIA meddling in foreign affairs, of which Bush was apart of but I don't know if I'd go as far as to say he committed war crimes.
Bush 41 was a former director of the CIA...lest we forget.
Counts range from 2400 to 4000 killed in Bush's invasion of Panama. The invasion was a war of aggression. Whether or not Congress approved has no bearing on the invasion being a war crime. Constitutionality is a separate issue. For example, Clinton's intervention in Kosovo was unconstitutional but it wasn't a war crime as the intervention stopped a genocide.Wasn't that approved by Congress?

My Dad only lasted 2 months after my mom died. They were both in the same nursing home. He ultimately died of a sepsis infection (which I think Bush has) and he sort of rallied then just gave up. This is not uncommon for what I call co-dependent relationships. Not sure why co-dependent has such negative connotations. He’s in intensive care. Just came to post this. He won’t fight. I was thinking he wouldn't last anymore than six months. I think it will happen very shortly. My dad ultimately died from a sepsis infection just 2 months after my mom died.I was giving him 2 weeks after Barbs. I might have been a little generous.
