Ghosting to a newly configured RAID

Had a dual-boot system w. 98 & 2000 of which I made three ghost-copies (three partitions)

Installed a Sunsway IDE-RAID-card and configured two disks to run RAID 1. After having recovered the gho-files unto the disks I get a bluescreen in both win 98 and win 2000. In the latter I get the message inaccessible_boot_device.
I've google'd and visited different foras without luck. Tried chdsk /f but with the same result as before.

Is it impossible to ghost a non-RAID-system to a RAID 1-system? The hardware is identical, except for the new RAID-card and of course the disk-controller.

You need to install the RAID drivers in both OS's before
physically installing the RAID Card.

Connect the drive to the onboard IDE controller and install.
Then connect it to the RAID controller.

Ghosting the drives should not affect the drive/partitions.
If it worked before ghosting, it will work after ghosting the image.
