Ghosting on SVCDs

Do you get ghosting on SVCDs? I have an SVCD that was converted from DVD that exhibits a lot of ghosting and pixelation, primarily on heavy action scenes. Is this normal? It was burned with Nero @ 24x if that is of any use.

Thanks.

I mean, an mpg rip from a dvd off of kazaa burned to an svcd ain't gonna look great.

That's what I would conclude. I made an SVCD out of a very high quality AVI file. I was just trying it out to see what it was like to make an SVCD. It played great and no pixelation on my DVD player hooked to my 27" Toshiba.
