I am currently trying to ghost a hard drive on a Dell Inspiron 700m. I don't know how else I can try to copy the whole drive because the drive is failing and I want to put everything on my replacement drive for the laptop. Anyways, I am trying to use Ghost v2 to copy the whole drive but like its 99% done then the laptop restarts and then boots into Windows XP and it never finishes. Is something wrong? Is there any other programs that I can use to copy the whole drive to put on the new one? Thanks for the help.

ChAoTiCpInOy,

If you can download the Trial version of Acronis True Image 11, it should let you image the entire HDD. You need to be able to put the image somewhere safe where you can access it later. Do you have an external HDD to image to? That would be your best bet. The image will be quite large, and you certainly can't put it on your failing HDD...

Get Acronis here: http://www.acronis.com/homecom...ng/download/trueimage/ If it works and you like it, you can get it at Newegg for about $35
