ok.. i know a guy whos buying 60 machiens with xp on them.. and hed liek to ghost em.. he has 60 liscenes.. but really doesnt wanna install all the other bs software first

Ghost 2002 is great in XP I had a chance to actually test it a couple weeks back, it restored with no problems.

Ghost 2002 will annoy the hell out of you by asking for a twelve-character license key every time you perform the reimage. Drive Image does not.

I hope that he's doing this with XP Pro, or he'll need to re-register each one of these machines with Microsoft when he boots them up.

Also, the corporate version of Ghost has some advantages over ghost 2002 that you might want to consider:

1) It won't harass you with entering a license key each time you start it.
2) It comes with an application called "Ghost Walker", that will randomize the machine names and GUID's for you after the image is complete. It won't redetect hardware on restart like sysprep will, however.
3) You can run a multicast session of ghost, which will allow you to ghost all of the machines at once over the network. Drive image pro also has this, but I was never able to get it to work right.

I live and breathe Ghost. The corporate version is excellent!
Do yourself a favor and read up on Microsoft's sysprep. I will never run GhostWalker on a 2000/XP box... I've had too many problems with it.
Sysprep & Ghost is an awesome combination, IMHO.
