I just finished ghost recon: desert siege. IN A FEW HOURS! There's nothing to this game. It's a few more maps just like all the other ones in the original. I'm sure if you're a hard core ghost recon fan, you'll want to get this. If not, don't bother. I think this should be more like a free mod than a $20 mission pack.

There's nothing wrong with it other than that it's completely unremarkable. Maybe it would be worth it if play a lot of ghost recon multiplayer. There's 5 more multiplayer maps, but the 9 map single player game was short, uninteresting and there was no story to be found. Also, I have no problem with outdoor levels, but it seems like all the levels were 99% outdoors. How about some variety? Aim and shoot, aim and shoot. The end.

Hmmm, I hope I will like it because it is already on the way and should arrive on Monday. I love Ghost Recon though and right now I am playing all the regular levels with just one person (Elite difficulty) until the Mission Pack will be here.

Are you playing it on the 'easiest' skill level ? because I'm playing it on middle skill level and the tangos rarely miss. I find this is a very good game and I think that its worth the $20.00 but I thought that the original "Ghost Recon" should have been just $20.00 :) since it only offers I think 15 missions.

But the game/sims graphics are is absolutly stunning as I have not seen any FPS look this good although Serious Sams graphics are top notich but they're not like this one. The reason that most of the missions are outdoors is because the standard complaints about this type of genre (swat, Rainbow-6) are that the missions are always go into building rescue hostages, kill the tangos...

I actually like this type of action over the above stated :) the outdoor areas in GR are beautiful and very detailed, plus you will need a high end system to run this as the game will TEST your computer.
Later.............TP

I think I played it on the middle level though I'd have to check to be sure since I don't remember selecting it. I'm not complaining about the difficulty, but I think the reason it was fairly easy was because it was almost entirely outdoors and the sniper can easily eliminate enemies at long range. And for everything else that might get you killed there's quicksave/load. And if you think 15 missions in GR wasn't enough, wait until you get to level 8 in gr: ds. Before I said 9 missions, but it's only 8.

I have no complaints about the graphics. It's very nice looking just like the original GR. Really my main complaint is just that it's so short. When you finish it, i think you'll agree with me that it's too short for a new release in the series.

Lars, if you liked ghost recon that much you will probably like this one. It's basically just a continuation of the first (though too short of a continuation IMO).

I've got it but have not played it yet. Going to fire it up tonight or tomorrow. Hope I'm not disappointed like wildwildwes.

so u ghost recon fans, do you always be a sniper or what? because i installed it, played it for a few hours and never played it again.. I kept getting shot out of freaking nowhere by invisible hiding commies and it pissed me off

i prefer to run in with assault rifles blazing, run a few rounds through their face before they know what hit 'em. (this does not work in ghost recon) :D
