Is anyone playing the PC version? Is there a way to quick save a game? I just started playing and I'm not sure if I like it or not. Any opinions appreciated.

Saw far I only played the first couple minutes of it.
I didn't notice a quick save, as it appears that at each 'checkpoint' it saves it for you...
Which is exactly how the original one was.... I think.
Its like Rainbow Six. There is no saved missions, just a completed or not.

I just finished it, it was superb!! and yes there is only "In Game" saves. It was to me harder than R-Bow Six and the orginal Ghosr Recon which I played a lot of as I really like
those types of FPS.

It's the first game I've actually replayed in years (literally). Love the entire thing and has been perfectly stable as well as super smooth. However, I have to say it's easier than Rainbow, but that may just be an illusion. I have spent hours redoing a 10 minute area (all dealing with embassy). In Rainbow 6: Raven Sheild, the bank level took hours and pissed me off so bad. I guess it's the damage system that makes it slightly easier. Also, I don't really understand the MEGA and overbearing hate for GRAW. I see the short comings, but the general consensus ont eh official forums is that it's turd.

Are you talking about the third mission?, I am also stuck on a part there, wel last night (4:00am really) I finally got past it, but it is the second firefight that I got stuck on, man that took me literally about 20 hours to get past, but I paced my self and those 20 hours were over about 2-3 weeks time.

also DannyLove the original Recon did in fact have a key set to quick save, that I know for a fact, I think I used it the more than anything else, my style was get a kill and Quik save. Ghost recon (the original) was and still is my favorite video game of all time, I think that the new GRAW is magnitudes harder, I have said it before and I will say it again, I wish they would set it so you could control your squad like the original Recon, I like being able to see the squadmembers on the crosscom thing but alot of times, they have an enemy directly in front of them and they dont seem to give a shat at least in the original recon you could take control of that member and eliminate the enemy.

anyway, I got part that one part and now I am trying to find a supply drop, but I was to friggen tired to play anymore last night, maybe tonight.

Fistandantilis, I agree this game is hard. I have mine set at the easiest and still get killed quite often. The embassy is definitely a hard mission and took some time to get past, but don't fret.................it gets harder. I also like the old game where you could exchange places with a team member, it would be nice to switch with the sniper once in a while. All in All the game is still addicting but some changes would be nice in a patch or something.

Fistandantilis, welcome me back to one week ago, but yes and no. I'm talking about the third mission AND the last mission. Both are insanely hard, the latter being worse thanks to a last minute spawn in an rea which I put 10 frags into:|. Also, it was somewhat good to have the quicksave in Ghost Recon 1, but it made it a bit too easy. Although, switching between members wouldn't be too bad. The worst part is when you tell them to move to a corner to cover, and they turn their back to the direction you wanted them to look at; this occurs 99.9% of the time. Otherwise, they aren't TOO retarded and are pretty good at beging meat shields. Even though it does get frustratingly hard, this is definately the most immersive game I've experienced in a while. And finally, just have to say that there is something extremely fun about playing the sniper on the team. A lot easier too, but very satisfying to drop people with a bullet that big.
