How do you guys rate the multiplayer on this title?
I remember installing the demo when it came out, but it kept crashing my comp or something. So, I never played it.
However, for $10 I would. Especially if the online/LAN multiplayer is good.

I tried this game a couple months ago and HATED it. Graphics and gameplay were both terrible with video settings maxed.

Wouldn't even buy it for $10

While there's no question that the release version of the 360 version blew away the PC version, since release there have been a BUTT LOAD of updates and map packs for the PC version that greatly enhanced it's MP aspect. Hightly recommended :D

I have both the x360 and pc version, and x360 version definitely blew away the pc version. Unless you have a high end pc, otherwise the game would lag.

but if you've got what's now pretty much the standard gamer configuration of 512 MB Graphics Card and 2GB of RAM

Wow, where do you live? I wanna move there so I can be "standard".

GRAW runs pretty decent on my 7800GT w/ 1.5GB of RAM though, I had to turn down a few settings a bit, but still looks great. Can't say I care much for the game, but it looks amazing.

I think he lives in the land of sarcasm.

That being said, I'll pick up a copy. I also downloaded the demo only to get some weird error. No matter. I'll torture my 6600gt agp a bit : )

I also have this game and it would only run on the computer that I had 2gigs of ram in. Would not run on a x800 with 1gb system memory or a computer with a 6800 in it. Ran just fine with a 7600gt with 2gigs of ram. To test my theory i put the 2gigs in the x800 system and the game ran just fine. BTW I was using a 3800+

I've been seeing people talk about testing they video cards with GRAW, nice to know what it is. Son is hooked on Hitman Blood Money at the moment, and has it running on a cheapo 9550se card.

This is a great game that requires good tactics and good skill. The multiplayer is just starting to hit it's stride now that dedicated server files and server controls are available. EVERYONE MAKE SURE YOU GET THE LATEST VERSION - there have been something like three patches since release, you can get the latest version here - it is all cumulative so this is the only one you need to download (I'm assumming the retail versions have not yet shipped with this updated patch - just check version number to see if it's 1.30):

For reference, the game runs fine on my system at 1280x1024 Medium detail, 4X AF, 0X AA, high shadows, etc:

A64 3800+
2GB RAM
X850XT AGP

There is a bit of a stutter at map startup, but after that it runs pretty smoothly. You can't even set high detail w/o a 512MB card I understand.

That's true! High detail is not even an option if you don't have a 512MB video card. I had a EVGA 7800GT 256MB before, and it won't allow me to select high detail. I recently upgraded to a EVGA 7900GTO 512MB, and now I'm able to select high detail. Everything running super smooth @ 1920x1200 with everything maxed out except no AA.

Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic, I guess I'm just jaded from hanging out on the Video forums. Duly noted.

With that in mind, I have to say that GRAW is probably a lousy looking game if you can't run it on "high" which you can't without a 512 MB Graphics card.

of course the game looks best with everything set to high, I have a 3700+ 1gb memory x800. the game looks pretty daam good, and runs well enough. I don't like the AI of your squad. Also if I watch them while they're getting shot at running down a STREET, they will dive to avoid fire and slide a what looks like 5 on the ground.

Dunno what kind of army suit you get in game, but watching men with lots of heavy gear slide down a gravel street is pretty impressive. I'm thinking about running outside right now and diving in the middle of the street to see if the GRAW slip n slide effect carries over :)

Damn, Im a huge GR fan and picked it up @ BB for $25.00 two days ago. Ill go see if they will PM if I bring in my receipt.

They sure will. Just did that with BF2412. CC had it for 37.99, so they dropped 13.20 off their 49.99.

They didnt want to at first but eventually I got her to do it. $20 is $20

I would get this, but it would show the age of my "gaming" computer. Overclocking is the only thing keeping it driving my 19" LCD at tolerable resolutions/detail levels...

If I remember correctly I ran the demo on 1280x1024, all high, with my rig.
X2 4400+
2GB PC3200
eVGA 7600GT CO

BTW, what do I need to pricematch at BB... can I print out the web page? Or do I need the actual ad?

I used web page print out minus the out of stock data

BB is funny, after screwing my order up twice (which included calling for override) I ended up with match only(no 10 % of the difference) they want you to buy the product @ thier price and then bring slip to get adjustment "HOW STUUPID"

The deal I was trying for was $10 off 2 games but with the pricematch the $10 off didn't work. Maybe I should have bought @ regular prices and then tried PM
