Ghost Recon 2 does not install

The game is legally bought and it accepts the id code, half way through the install is give me this error message:

"feature Transfer Error"

Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

i have the latest everything and can play COD4, GOW, UT3 and all those latest games with pretty good graphics

ga-p35-ds3l
xfx 7800gt OC
Corsair xms2 4-4-4-12
ocz stealthxstream 600w psu
seagate barracuda 7200.11

tech support email response was so generic i almost puked

anyone had this issue with this game ? hats the workaround to installing ?

No expert on this, haven't even experienced it myself, but it sounds like the disk is bad. If you bought it recently, try exchanging it. If that's not the case, then the copy protection may no likey you.

Grrr cannot exchange, bought more than a month ago on sale and waited tyll i got the new pc build to install..GRRRRR

major BS disc is not scratched or anything, i tried 3 times and same problem on the same spot in the install

look online for an ISO of the cd.

otherwise, find someway to return it
