Ghost question

It's been awhile since I ghosted an image to a diff partition than where it came from.

Say I have an image, 10GB in size. It was taken from a partition that is 20GB in size.

Now say I Ghost that image to a diff HD, onto a partition that is 100GB in size.

Do I lose that 80GB of space? 😕 I don't think that I do, but figured I'd ask.

We're talking about a System Partition, btw, not just data.

Thanks!

another cool ghost trick. if you ever format your drive through the command prompt (c:\format blahb blahb blabh) -- you can create a ghost image of the final file system in fat32 or ntfs, you can use that to quickly format a drive. it takes only seconds since the ghost img is small. Since you only need ghost.exe to run before windows, you can boot disk, ghost.exe and the formated.gho quickly.

again, it scales to the hard drive size. it's awesome.
