What? I don't know what makes you think Serrano's car was bombed. That sound? I thought it was some kind of electrical device to fry his cyberbrain. I sure didn't hear any explosion or see any smoke.

Who was the assassin? Probably somebody hired by one of the other CEOs to be implicated in the fraud that accompanied the Laughing Man case. Remember how after each of the micromachine/nanotechnology firms were reimbursed for the massive decline in stock price after the Laughing Man supposedly attacked each company?

the other companies gave the public $ they got to finance the corrupt secretary-general. so they didnt make any $ off that.

As for the car explosion:
they cut to the view of the bad guy as he's walking in a hallway. the explosion could have happened already by the time they cut to his view, or since he's in a hallway, he's too far away to hear the explosion. but the fried brain theory is also plausible.

in any case, who is he? does Amime usually throw in a random villian from left field in the last scene of the series?!??
