Ghost / image install of XP?

I'm trying to install XP on a seperate HDD however the controller / drive is not detected during installation even after slipstreaming the drivers into the CD.

Is it possible to "ghost" an image of XP onto the HDD somehow and then just boot in via grub or such? I think system builders sometimes do this because it's less time consuming that manually installing the OS for each system though I'm not familiar with the workflow and tools.

Any help appreciated.

did you slipstream them as "F6 driver" ?

system builders do it for known (same) hardware configurations. If your disk controller driver is not installed, you are not going past BSOD upon booting up.

One thing that may help detect the HD is to change the advanced BIOS settings
for the drive (IDE vs. AHCI)
RAID may be a 3rd option listed but assume you wont be using that

Try selecting the opposite of whatever it is set now
