Ghost Files due to Love Bug.....New Problem

About a week or two ago I was infected with the love bug, and it totally messed up my mp3's. The good news is that I got rid of it, the bad news is that my files are still messed up, some of them anyways. I have 2094 mp3s but I can only see about 1500. I can still play them and when i right click on the folder where they are supposed to be it says they are there but the fact remains that I can't see them or move them. Please Help!!
 
did the virus make them hidden files ??
make sure your system is set to where you can see all files then right click on them and change there settings so they aren't hidden no more
 
That was the first thing I did, but that didn't help at all. Until a few minutes ago when I went back in to folder options and saw that there was a box that said "Hide Protected Operating System Files," of course I unchecked it and low and behold I see my files, but I now can't unhide them because the box is ghosted....what now????
