Ghost doesn't show CDR

I have a Sony CDRX140E which Ghost will not show at all.

I did what the instructions told me and used the boot disk with no cd drivers. Then went through the steps of adding the Oak driver, waiting 10 minutes to see if it would show, and switching the IDE configuration. Anybody have any other ideas?

I use a ASUS P3V4X MB with via chipset.
 
uh, make the image (split = 650, or split = 700) in DOS and burn it in windows

that's what i do.

DOS is just no good for stuff.
