Ghost CD Drive has appeared!...Doh!..Sorted!

Hi,

I have a ECS K7S5A based system with an Athlon XP 1600+ and in terms of cd drives it is thus:

D:\ = LG 16x DVD-ROM
E:\ = Benq 16x12x48x CD-Writer
F:\ = CD-ROM

Only prob....there is no CD-ROM drive in the system!...it doesn't appear in Disk Management, only in explorer and even when disks are in both drives, it says "please insert a disk into drive F".

Any ideas?

I am pretty sure that LG is master and Benq is set to slave.

If it doesn't show up in the BIOS try uninstalling and reinstalling your IDE controller. Perhaps that will resolve your problem.

Found what it is now....stupid me!....had installed CD Ghost that comes with the board and it of course creates a "Virtual CD Drive"...so all sorted!
