Ghost and other imaging suites.

We are looking into a network deployment imaging suite, it looks like Ghost is the only real viable program available. I've seen PowerQuest in the past, but Symantec appears to have bought them out.

Ghost's liscensing is about as messed up as anything I've ever seen. ~$40 per PC on the network whether you use ghost or not, we only want to store 3-5 images for rapid deployment.

I believe Acronis has some type of network suite for TrueImage, but I've never used it before.

Take a look at the Enterprise pricing. At my work we use Ghost 8.0 at roughly 500 licenses; 8.0 has worked fine with both Win2k and XP Pro without issue. 🙂

That was the enterprise liscense price (37.50/license), we have a little under 700 workstationstions.
~28 grand to be able to image about 200 workstations a year from 3-5 different images just really seems too steep. I'll look into the true image as well.
