Ghost and Linux?

Here is my network setup:
Redhat Linux 7.1
Windows Millenium
Windows 2k
All 3 machines connected with a linksys wireless ap 4 port cable/dsl router.

I want to be able to back up my Linux box on a network drive located on the Windows ME machine. Can I use Ghost to make a linux image from the ME machine? If I need to restore the linux machine can I use a bootable ghost floppy to restore the linux machine over the network?

Anyone have a similar setup to this or have any suggestions on how to backup the linux machine so I can restore it over the network?

Short answer is yes and yes... Making the boot disk is easy, there are howtos on making a DOS bootable network disk all over the internet... As far as ghost, backing up any FS other than NTFS and the various FAT variants is available in a byte by byte copy mode... The progs do not support backing up and restoring to partitions/drives other than what you started with and they do not guarantee the integrity of the data but the progs will do it...

Thanks for the reply. I guess I will just try and it and see if it works. I still have not fully built the linux box. After I finish I will give it a go before I configure Linux.
