Once I ghost my C drive, can I remove Ghost from computer?

When I need to restore the image, I need to boot from the Ghost CD so I would tend to think that I don't need the Ghost software on the computer.

You certainly can remove the program from your hard drive - however, I would leave it installed in case you ever want to just restore a particular file from the backup image.
The program doesn't take up much space and you can safely remove it from starting the the tray with no ill effects. I have used Ghost for years and just for your info, Ghost 9 is almost identical to Powerquest Drive Image 7 which by the way Symantec purchased Powerquest last year - no wonder Ghost 9 recognizes DI 7's images. I also used DI 7 with very favorable results. Hope this info helps you in your decision.
