Ghost 2003 over a network to a mapped drive??

I can't get it to work.

I am trying to save the image backup of my OS drive to a mapped network drive on my server. It keeps failing. I'm assuming because of the dos network drivers. Anyone know how to do this? Or do you know where to find directions? I've been searching all night. Thanks.

I just tried that. It seems I'm getting a driver error in DOS. It's not loading the NDIS drivers correctly.

Try that. It SHOULD let you boot up into a normal XP environment (well mostly normal) where your Win32 NIC drivers should work fine. Just map your drive from there the same way you would normally in XP (net use) and presto! I use it for Drive Image occasionally and it works like a charm so I'd imagine it'll work with Ghost as well...

Ghost personal edition ? I dont think it even allows you to dump to a network drive.. or at least the 2002 didn't.. they want you to buy the enterprise ediiton. What NIC card are you using

EDIT: oops. This is Mavtech. I'm on my friends computer. I forgot to log him out. Anyway.......

I am using the Ghost in Norton Systemworks Pro. It is able to save to a mapped drive. It has the tab to set the username, domain. One of the errors I get is an IBM Netbeui error.

My Nic is the Integrated 3 COM 10/100/1000 on my Asus P4C800DX motherboard.

I tried the Bart PE app. Although that is a frickin cool app, it requires Symantec Ghost 8.0. I have Systemworks 2003 Pro w/Ghost 2003. It's suppose to work with mapped drives. I'm still getting the IBM Netbeiu error and then it goes into Ghost and freezes.

Why is it trying to use NETBEUI instead of TCP/IP?? The error I keep getting says, "Invalid decimal digit in protocol.ini" It keeps saying it cannot reach the Protocol manager. I get the same exact think with the Ghost bootdisk.

Any ideas? Thanks.
