Ghost 2003 not booting if SATA HDD connected externally (USB enclosure)

Hello,

I am having this problem with Ghost 2003. I want to create the images in an external hard drive, connected via USB external enclosure. I have two external HDD, one SATA, one PATA.

No problem when using the PATA drive. ... except that during booting there is a message saying that ".. no letter was assigned (or found?) to the Atapi drive..", and had to choose "abort" (abort/retry/ignore) to finish booting and enter Ghost.

But when using the SATA HDD the booting stops at "looking for a letter for the Atapi driver.." (or something similar), and there is no progress beyond that point.

Is there a solution for this?
Thanks for your help
