I have a Norton Ghost 2003 boot CD that writes to NTFS partitions only. I also have one that writes to FAT32 partitions only. At least I think they do this "only," or so I wrote with a sharpie when I created them years ago. I got Ghost 2003 with the Norton Systemworks 2003 CD I bought way back in probably 2003.

I used the Norton Ghost 2003 boot CD that writes to NTFS partitions only a couple or weeks ago. AFAIK, it worked fine. However I got to thinking I should make a backup copy in case something goes wrong with (or I lose) the one I have. Nero 6 errors when I try to copy the CD. I guess it might have something to do with the fact that it's a boot disk. Maybe there's a workaround in Nero. Anyway, I decided to install NSW 2003 on my XP desktop and make a CD from that. I installed only Ghost, nothing else. Opening Ghost (in Windows XP) I see no way to create a CD, no mention of it in the menus, etc. or help. What am I missing?

Oh, I see it now, it's under Ghost Utilities > Norton Ghost Boot Wizard.

I don't see where they let you decide what file system the disk will support, but I suppose it's there...

Another approach is to create a ISO file of that boot disk. Then from that youcan always burn a new copy.

Agree, an ISO file is probably easiest. Use UltraISO or Imgburn to do the job. The CD that comes with Sytemworks 2003 is bootable as it is, but you need a PS2 keyboard with it. It should not be hard to copy it. Worst case, go to slysoft.com and download the Trial copy of CloneCD .. that will copy it for sure.
