i tried to ghost our server using ghost 11.0.1. our server was setup the foll0wing way
all dynamic disk, 4 x 250gb
C: mirrored on disk 0 and 1 approx 40gb
E: mirrored on disk 0 and 1 (admin tools and server images <---- at least that's what i had hoped for.)
drives F,G,H all mirrored as well (data)
i created a ghost boot disk using pc dos and support for usb and scsi.
booted ghost and tried to copy partition to image of the C:/ (dynamic disk and mirrored)
i want to save the image on another volume named E:/Server Images (dynamic disk and mirrored), but it will not let me choose any of the drives. they are all grayed out.
I was able to do this yesterday when the destination drive was a basic disk, i dont' see why i'm not able to save this onto a dynamic disk. I wanted to keep the image on a mirrored volume for redundancy.
meh
the os is win2k3 standard if this is relevant.
If I can't do this i'm just gonna stick with tape backups using backup exec i made yesterday since this was driving me nuts. I just don't want to break my mirrors to be able to save an image of the OS if i've got tape backups of the full system state done already.
