Causing quite an uproar, but how long do you think it will be before it gets yanked or closed down?
Might become (hard to believe) a collector's item! Milton Bradley (maker of Monopoly) is supposedly talking about suing for intellectual property infringement.
 
everyone copies the monopoly board. they really shouldnt start suing. as i recall, monopoly was one of those "traditional" games that surfaced around the depression. everyone and their brother made the game and then finally someone developed it for market.
at least, thats what i remember from some documentary i saw years ago. i could be wrong.
 
The creator of the game, David Chang, is promising more of these - Hoodopoly, Hiphopopoly, Thugopoly and Redneckopoly. If he works hard enough, everyone can feel offended!🙂 See about the game here.

I just think Milton Bradley did not have the foresight as this David Chang fellow. If he were not making a profit I would presume it would be passed along as a parody of the game, but with intent of making a profit out of an already established board game does make a good case for Milton Bradley.
 
It sounds like a stupid game, but it doesn't offend me in the least. They could equally have one making fun or canadians or whatever and then I may laugh. My take on this is that the black leaders bitching about it (read on CNN) need something better to do with their free time than get upset about this. Who gives a sh*t!

Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina Catholic Church, called for a boycott of Urban Outfitters. In Florida, the St. Petersburg and Hillsborough County chapters of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People urged the company to stop carrying the game.

"I was outraged. We called Outfitters, we wrote them a letter, we held a press conference, but we've had no response," Pfleger said Wednesday.

Nothing like completely ignoring someone to say "you're a moron & not worth our time."

As much as I think it's stupid, I don't see how it's really offensive to "The Philadelphia black clergy and Men United for a Better Philadelphia". It's more offensive that they are taking OFFENSE to it, it's like saying "Hey, Philly is as ghettoas it gets, stop mocking us!"

Some people just always want something to complain about.
