This one is a lot safer (I do believe) and I get the full 12v from the PSU :biggrin:

Just used a Molex to PATA, tore apart the PATA, reconfiged with the 3 pin wires, reassembled, put ducttape to bundle the wires. BOOM

or of course there's fan controllers and what nots.. but in reality.. if you dont have any need to controll fan speeds/on off then this is just as good

Its fine. I'm letting it run at 5v and stuck it behind the huge passive heatsink that dell put in this thing.
