Seems to be a number of Phoenix people here. My first thought was "Guadalupe". Otherwise I'm not too sure on the authentic places. And I'm more of a curry junkie anyway.

I'd be up for a Phoenix meet-up too...

I was thinking the same thing.

me too...

So . . . who's gonna start the AZ meet-up thread?

I'd be happy to as I like arranging things, unless someone else wants to? I don't have internet at my apartment until next Monday though. Probably shoot for something mid-to-late July?

Just remember that people who have lived in Phoenix for awhile don't like driving more than 5 miles for anything. ;)

Stereotypes FTW!!!

Mid-Late July works for me. Try to pick a place in Central Phoenix to make it fair for everyone. I'll be glad to give some suggestions if you need them. Please note: all of my suggestions will be places that serve alcohol as I love pouring booze down my throat.

So true. I dont leave my 2 sq. mile nest in downtown tempe. Except for when i go to work.

As for food:
Go to guadalupe.
Try out Cerranos. There is one on McClintock and Elliot I think?
Chino Banditos is the shit. Dont listen to others, I love Chinos a LOT.
Theres also a place called Rositas (http://www.rositasfinemexicanfood.com/) right by where i live. Its pretty damn good, and Cheeba HUt is right next to it, which you should also check out!
