Went and grabbed a $40 6 foot countertop from home depot, and basically plopped it on my current crap desk. pic

The only problem is that it doesn't quite line up with the top of the tv stand without being off kilter. Not sure what exactly I'll do but I'll figure out something. 😀

So uh... any pics of your ghetto desks?

I've got a nice graphics workstation with plenty of room for just about everything. I like the keyboard drawer. Total price: $0.
 
my desk in my room is a door, two legs bolted onto one side, a cheap filling cabinet holding the other side up, with some peices of wood in there to bring to level.


I love it, its huge.

My dorm room desk cannot compare.

Yeah I was thinking I should just stick a slab of wood underneath the desk to bring it up to the same height as the tv stand, but I don't exactly have wood laying around, and I figured I should try to find out a way to do it with what I have, if possible.
