ive done that to my mountain mods also.

I had a very very bad leak. And all my internal components got wet.

I had to use one of those 24inch box fans and i proped it ontop of my MM and let it run the entire day.

Came back later, and everything was dry.
 
why not just duct tape a box fan to the open side? my friend with a q6600 did it w/ an old dell PI-era case. Temps bottomed out like a stone in water
