GH3 on PS3

Probably is laziness, not as big of a bummer as the wired rock band guitars on 360. I wonder why they didn't just do this for those.

Are you kidding? People debate/argue even dumber stuff than this.

Supposedly the reason they didn't make the 360 Guitar wireless is that Microsoft is being strict with their wireless protocol. Doing a dongle completely negates the need for that, and since they did it for the PS3 one, it would make sense that they could've done it for the 360 one.

the 360 Guitar Hero is wireless. It's Rock Band that is still going to be wired at release.
And the PS3 Rock Band controllers are bluetooth. Kind of a bummer that these aren't bluetooth as well, but it doesn't really make much of a difference.

The 360 GH2 guitars are wired with no wireless option. Trust me, if it was available, I would have gotten at least one of those instead of the two wired ones I've got.

The 360 version is supposed to use the internal wireless of the 360. I'm not saying that's good or bad, I'm just saying it's the case.
