I had gfwl setup on my old computer to play games in offline mode; but when I installed on a new computer and used the same profile it goes online; is there anyway for me to set the bloody crap in offline mode? I've search the web and can't seen to find any definitive answer. I esp want to amke sure all saves et all stay local.

The current game in question is bullestorm (in case that matters) but there is also batman and fallout (I generally try to avoid gfwl; but sometimes goof)

It doesn't make any difference. Either way the save games stay local, but they are attached to the GFWL account. If there's a way of forcing it to play offline I've never used it, because GFWL simply reverts to offline when no connection is found. I suspect you don't want it to go online because you're using illegitimate copies of games. In that case, buy the game.

Your assumption is utterly incorrect. I have legit games with legit keys (unless d2d and stream are selling non-legit games). The fact that you might pirate games does not mean everyone else is unethical.

gfwl takes forever to login (no clue why) and it seems to frequently access the network when I'm playing single player games.

I too hate GFWL. I installed it for the first time a couple days ago to play GTA4 (I have avoided it to this point, due to the bad reputation it had, but I finally installed it since I got tired of avoiding games with it that I had already bought.)

It is actually worse than I expected it to be. I have a hard time believing anyone would want to make their game use this POS. I know it makes me want to avoid games that have it even more now that I have used it once. I can't begin to describe the crappiness of GFWL.

I should have mentioned the update cycle with bulletstorm was a mess; but unsure if this was an issue with gfwl or bulletstorm (basically there were 3 cyles of install gfwl update; exit game to complete update; but there is no way to exit the game without the task manager at the point it tells you to exit and there is no way to perform the full cycle of updates for gfwl without running the game; so basically you start the game; try to sign in; then find out you have to update; then kill the game with task manager; complete the update and repeat.

Anyways all of this is off topic; I'm mostly just looking for a way to use offline mode with these games (if it is still possible without disconnecting the ethernet or using a firewall).

If you're just playing single player, look up xliveless. Dropping it in the game directory of a GFWL game will completely disable it. Works great in GTA IV and Red Faction Guerilla, although I can't speak for other games. It generally does break multilayer though.
