Gforce3 and voltage requirements

I was wondering if there are going to be the same problems with the new Gforce3 as there were with the Gforce2. Are we going to need motherboards that will be able to supply the nessesary voltage. The reason I ask is because I was thinking of puting one in my BX motherboard and was concerned that it may not be able to supply enough voltage, I have the manual for my board(Gigabyte GA686BX) and can't see any referance to voltage.Being a couple of years old and only AGPx2 has the AGP spec changed at all with regards voltage.
Any thoughts on this matter?

A good BX board should work fine, but IIRC the Gigabyte boards were rather problematic with proper AGP voltage. The changing spec isn't an issue AFAIK, just having proper AGP support will likely be required.

The GF2 was comparitively speaking, problem free. The requirements for the GF3 will be more like the GF DDR which had some rather serious issues if your board didn't have a proper AGP implementation.

Thats a good point Richleader,I think a bit more research is needed and I shall have to wait for the card to hit the market so that we start to get some feedback on how it works on a range of boards.
