GForce vs ATI Radeon in 2D

I have a 3D Blaster Annihilator currently and looking to purchase a ATI Radeon 7500. I was wondering how much of an improvment I will see in 2D/windows quality. Hopefully quite a bit because it really sucks now...LOL

u are using CRT (reg VGA connector) or DVI? on VGA you will see a big improvement (depending if you have a good monitor of course) don't extrapolate though that all geforces have the same 2d though as your 3d blaster annihilator 😉

Depends what kinda resolution your running at and the quality of your monitor. But in general it's pretty safe to say the the Radeon offers far better 2D then your Creative card. The GeForce line has long been somewhat maligned for their poor 2D, and Creative Labs is worse then most in that regard.
ATi's Radeon series has always offered excellent 2D visual quality.

Like raspewtin said, 2D quality varies considerably between manufacturers of GF cards. The majority seem to be rather crappy in that regard, but there are a small handful that are decent.

Buy the Radeon 7500. Not only will you be impressed by the 2d, your 3d frame rate is going to jump dramaticaly.

Pay a little more and get a Leadtek ti200, the 2D is better than most other Geforce cards (and as good as any radeon IMO) and its noticibly faster than the 7500 in 3D
