Hey, it's a riot, you get caught up in it, next thing you know, you're helping someone tip over a car....then someone has to top that and light one on fire

No one HAS to do anything. They CHOOSE to do it. And therefore, I can CHOOSE to shoot them with my .45 for refusing to step away from my vehicle. 😛

Are you one of those "but I used a condom! how can you be pregnant?" people? 😉

What else is new. This is freakin Oakland we are talking about here. That place makes the movie "Escape from New York" look like Disney Land.....🙂

You don't know sh!t about Oakland asswipe. I live in Oakland and it is a beautiful town, beats the hell out of that polluted mess of a city you live in...Denver. But maybe you're just bitter because we beat your team into the ground TWICE this year?

Oakland is an awesome town with great scenery, good nightlife and culture, and within short distance to surfing, boating, skiing, wine country, mountain biking, and just about anything else you could want to do.

Here's some pics from a drive/hike I took in Oakland close to where I live about a week or so ago.

The problem arises because Oakland has a "bad section" just like many large cities where all the BS goes down. Oakland is a pretty huge sprawling town and this area is really small. I've been through there a few times but I hardly ever have any reason to go near it. It's not as if on any normal night I would even have any problem driving through, although I wouldn't walk.

I was speaking more of the human emotion, fueled by brotherhood alcohol and ignorance. I'm not saying it's something I would partake in....ten years ago maybe, but not today

doesn't LA riot when their teams win?

I think there's quite a few cities that have this problem. As someone mentioned Philly would have been a likely spot had they gone.

Ehhh yeah, and about half the other horde of football fans in the US 😉. I can say Oakland is pretty nice, I have a friend who lives up there and their are some very nice areas(it's california people), but like newyork, Oakland has it's "bronx", as do many cites.

Philly was fun last weekend..

Oakland does have some nice areas...

Hell, even Vallejo has some decent areas... and don't forget Richmond towards the northern part of the city, more suburb-like. Most cities have some crappy areas. Though, Oakland does have its nasty spots, just stay out and you'll be fine...
